Terms of Use
Effective
These terms cover the Patchwise app. You use the app under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard Apple EULA). If these terms and that license differ on a point the license controls, the Apple license controls. The sections below add the subscription details Apple asks us to state, and a plain note about cutting.
Subscriptions
Patchwise offers auto-renewable subscriptions: a monthly plan and a yearly plan. The title, the length, the price, and the price per period are shown on the purchase screen and in the App Store before you confirm. See the App Store for current prices. This website does not list prices.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You manage the subscription and cancel auto-renew in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.
- If you cancel a free trial, any unused part of that trial is forfeited.
- Any unused part of a free trial, if one is offered, is also forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where that applies.
We cannot cancel an Apple subscription for you. Cancellation and refunds go through Apple.
Free trial
The yearly plan can include a 7-day free trial when the App Store shows that trial. You are not charged on the day you start it. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the trial converts to a paid subscription and your Apple Account is charged. If you cancel during the trial, any unused part of the trial is forfeited, and the subscription does not continue into a paid period.
Lifetime
Lifetime is a one-time purchase. It is not a subscription and it does not renew. Payment is charged once to your Apple Account when you confirm it. See the App Store for the current price. If you already have a subscription and you buy Lifetime, cancel that subscription in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions so it does not keep renewing. Lifetime does not cancel a subscription for you.
Yardage and cutting
Yardage, cut sizes, seam allowances, and shopping lists are a guide from the numbers you enter. They are not a promise that a particular pattern, fabric, or cut will finish at a certain size. Check the plan against your pattern and your ruler. Cut the first piece and compare it before you cut the rest of a batch. You are responsible for what you cut. To the extent the law allows, Patchwise is not liable for fabric, time, or a quilt lost because a plan was cut without that check. Nothing here limits a liability the law does not let us limit.
