Common questions
How do I cancel a subscription?
On your iPhone, open Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, choose Patchwise, and cancel. Do this at least 24 hours before the current period ends, or the subscription renews. We cannot cancel an Apple subscription for you. If you are in a free trial and you cancel, any unused part of that trial is forfeited.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open Patchwise, go to the purchase screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account you used to buy. Restoring needs a connection to Apple. Plans already saved on the phone stay on the phone either way.
Why does the yardage include extra?
The amount to buy adds 10% to the length the pieces need, then rounds up once to the next 1/8 yard. That margin is for squaring the cut edge of the fabric and for a short cut. Separately, each cut size already includes 1/2 inch for seams (1/4 inch on each side). That 1/2 inch is not the same as the 10%.
Which units does the app use?
Inches for the quilt size, the block size, and the cut size. Yards or metres for the fabric to buy. One yard is 36 inches. Shopping amounts in yards round up once, to the next 1/8 yard.
The first piece does not match. What now?
Stop. Do not cut the rest of the stack. Check the block size, the grid (rows and columns), and the fabric width, then calculate the plan again. Compare the cut with the size on the screen, seam allowance included. The cutting steps ask you to check the first piece before the batch for this reason.
Which languages does the app use?
The app follows the language of your iPhone. It includes ten languages: English, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian (Bokmål), Russian, and Swedish.
Purchases and cancellation are also described in the Terms of Use. How the app handles information is in the Privacy Policy.
