Privacy Policy
Effective
This policy covers the Patchwise app for iPhone and this website. Developer: [to be added before launch] is the controller for questions about this policy. Write to Email support.
The short version
The app does not collect personal data. Your quilt plans stay on your iPhone. There is no account. Apple handles purchases. This website does not use cookies, advertising, or analytics.
What the app handles
- Quilt plans, sizes, fabrics, and cutting steps are stored only on your device. We do not receive a copy.
- The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or location.
- There is no account to create and no sign-in.
Purchases
Apple processes purchases through StoreKit and charges your Apple Account. We do not receive your card number, billing address, or Apple ID. On your device, the app receives only Apple’s confirmation that a purchase or a restore succeeded. That confirmation stays on the device. We do not run a server that stores it.
Tracking, advertising, and analytics
The app and this website do not include tracking, advertising, or analytics tools. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
This website and email
These pages are static. They do not set cookies and they do not keep an account of who visits. If you email us, we receive the address you write from and the message you send. We use that only to answer you. We do not put you on a mailing list. The legal basis is that you asked us for a reply. We keep the correspondence only as long as we need it to answer and to handle a follow-up, then we delete it.
Children
Patchwise is made for adults who quilt. It is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 16.
How long information stays
Plans remain on your iPhone until you delete them or delete the app. We do not keep a copy. Apple keeps purchase records under Apple’s own policies. Support emails stay only long enough for us to answer you.
Your rights
Where the law gives you rights over personal data, they include the right to access it, correct it, delete it, restrict how it is used, object to a use, and receive a copy you can take with you (data portability). You can withdraw consent where consent is the basis we rely on. You can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority where you live.
The app does not send us your plans or an account profile, so we do not hold that information to show you or export. To remove plans, delete them in the app or delete the app. To manage a purchase, use your Apple Account. If you write to Email support about a right, we will help. If the request is about information Apple holds, we will point you to Apple.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. The new text applies from that date.
